The vision for this website is to be a valuable resource for anyone wanting to learn more about Computer Science. Computer Science is the most misunderstood discipline in the high tech industry, and it continues to be understaffed even during this recession.
While the vision is to help anyone, this website does also serve a particular purpose to assist my former students during their educational experiences. This website is broken down into sections that enable my former students to navigate to topics that are relevant to their short-term and long-term successes.
This website is evergreen and will be a very important resource to visit on a regular basis.

Mr John Way is the new Computer Science HS Teacher at Sherwood!
I resigned from my teaching post in September, and Mr Way, my former colleague in this position took over. I wish him the best of luck and much success carrying on the momentum that I established in my tenure.

Free Google App for the Android
If you are an Android user, and you want to refrain from texting and talking on the phone, I have an app for you. I created an autoresponder that will send the person texting you a customized message from you. Each time the app is in use, you have a one time opportunity to tag a phone number and send your GPS location if they text you. If someone calls the first time, it rolls over to voicemail. If they call again, the phone does ring because it could be an emergency. If you turn off sound and vibrate, the phone will not ring. The text feature will read to you who it is from and what the message says if you have speech to text turned on. This app is available as is. I don’t plan on making updates to it, because I am confident that the Android will have an autoresponder built into an upcoming OS.
